CITY VARIO 2007 KNOCKING - calling all experts and owners

Boss sorry for hijacking the post again I am stuck in my LC 200 1VD just bought few days back. I rebuilded it's engine along with brand new injector set. The problem arrives when I set the compensation codes and performed pilot learning and the procedure was not completed for 2 of the injectors.
Now I am facing a permanent dtc p1601 eeprom error. Repair manual suggested to replace the ECU as this was the UK version so would get the replacement In next week. Also the vehicle doesn't shifts in 5th ratio and no lockup is engaging.

who the hell uses 20w50 in a honda L engine?

you wont get O/D with a check light and that code. Too bad you got that code, were the injectors leaking?

Some scientists in Honda Avenue and Honda center peshawar road recommends the garah hailll as the vehicle is older you should use this 20w50 in it. And when they visited me the first thing I did was before engine compression check was oil change at once. .......

No injectors were not leaking one of my associate engaged the engine for a test drive before compensation and learning as he returns from his breakin drive. I came to know that he completed the breakin drive and was shocked. So this was the scenario. it sometime happens with me.

Thats whats happening inside the transmission. My whole point was transmission is shitty in this vario by default.

So once again, other than replacing valve body)(which over time will go bad again due to faulty design) would you have done anything differently to permanently fix the problem on existing transmission?

I would not just replace the valvebody but replace other bad parts too, e.g. oil pump regulator and start clutch, and if the pulley sheaves were galled out where they ride on ball bearings.

compression test has to be done WET & DRY .

this is like getting blood pressure and not recording the heart beat rate

goto your mechanic ask him to remove oil sump and check for oil pump pickup strainer. share the pictures. Most likely it is clogged and not feeding enough oil to pump for cold start.

Great help bhai ...but how will i make him understand sump / strainer etc can u give local language names of these parts or write the procedure in urdu

lift all 4 wheels on jack let car rest on stands

crawl under front of vehicle

locate oil drain bolt .. that is oil sump 12- 17 bolts will be opened to remove that sump

when this sump is removed you will see strainer .. must be clogged wash clean or buy new one

use very thin layer of Permatex Grey gaskit over sump lines to make new gaskit. .. DO NOT BUTTER LAYER SILICON GASKIT at all when closing the sump

use fresh 10w-40 engine oil & new oil filter before starting the engine.
