The main pressure valve body is bad if this is happening, If you remove it and inspect it, you will find that its regulator valve is loose in its bore and can get stuck - in some instances the return springs in it also break. This causes slippage while driving - however wont affect anything at idle because the start clutch is the only "slippage" that is between the engine power and transmission input while stationary - unlike a conventional torque converter.
The start clutch also wears out and gets damaged on these which give an effect of "grabbing" I have seen warped plates in them and completely smoked packs - literally black plates that had almost nothing left. Honda did a remarkably retarded job in designing this CVT.
warped plates give a sudden judder feel when doing garage shift (P to D) - this is because the plates are warped it tries to grab the clutch basket. Changing the solenoid pack is like applying saniplast to a gunshot wound on a Honda CVT
