@bradpit
Sir your talking about civic that it can't give mileage above 8Km/L in City... Yes, its absolutely true.. drivers like you will never be able to achieve a mileage above than that!
The problem is not with these Civic's and Corolla's... the problem is with our driving styles and the area we drive in, majority of the people floor the car and brake on the verge of banging the next car!! What we need to learn is how to partial hyper-mile!
All of the people who are getting 7-8Km/L more or less floor there cars quite often, or there car needs maintenence in exceptional cases.. (agar app ke niyat achi ho kuch kerne tou app yeh b ker sakte ho)... If people start driving with effort(accelerating bery gently from dig, keeping low revs in all gears, and avoid flooring and too much idling and to try to take routes with less traffic jams rather long), im sure many can get good averages with there civics!
And yes Civic prosmatec and manual both can achieve 10+Km/L depending on the driver and the area he drives in.. have personally tested this on airomerix's civic, during a stay in islamabad.. we covered about 540kms in 47litres on a single tank with ac in city(almost 11.5Km/L).. and on my own Civic prosmatec 2011 in Lahore, though its new but still I've achieved 9.7Km/L(430kms in 44litres) in City with AC on all the time! It just depends on the driving style.. both these figures were achieved by myself by partial hyper-miling and with proper maintainence of cars !
Ofcourse people living in Isloo would have better mileage then Lahore riders due to long stretches of roads and rare traffic jams BUT still you need to learn how to drive efficiently!
and talking about D16's, sir my Civic 2000 used to give me 11Km/L+ in city.. again it depends on ur driving style, all of u floor ur cars and brake instant by instant and floor again is the main problem! now don't say these things don't matter, oh YES they do! infact they matter alot..!! Go try hypermiling first and then comment!
