yes long route average is always better then city average. however i can only speak for the manual car which i have used extensively.

i use caltex delo gold 15 W 40.

i use the same oil in the manual gear box as well.

for power steering pump oil, only used genuine honda psf

for coolant, i use zic A

for brake/clutch oil, i use any dot 3 oil available. mostly caltex due to easy availability of genuine item

Thanku saad. I visited Afzal autos got it checked by afzal bhai, he is gonna repair my shocks and the bushes wil be replaced, the damage I am expecting to be is around 20-25k.

Still waiting for any leads for a good mechanic in clifton or dha have to go for my first tune up. Got total 20w50, new plugs, filters and gear oil from nasir autos. just finding a good mechanic to tune up clean the throttle body check the fuel pump and shizz.

Right now i don't have any specific issues. Just one noise of goda while turning left. That too sometimes its thr sometimes its not

Stay away from both. Both are rip offs. Just get the suspension work done by any sensible mechanic in Gawalmandi or Sultan Ka Khu. Mostly bushing gets bad. For axle noise you need to get outer cv joint changed. If shocks need replacement then get brand new rather than used ones. Buy parts your self don’t rely on mechanic, in Gawalmandi Alif Autos is the shop for Honda parts.

Also there is a light muffled dug dug noise from the center of the front suspension. But its very light n as per my diagnosis its not there on big jumps etc. Only when the jump is v small and specially i noticed it comes when the car moves side ways instead of up and down on a regular jump (eg on an uneven jump or one tire on jump or if one tire gets on the jump earlier then the other and it makes the car move sideways) (hope u got wat i m trying to explain)

Like something is just hanging loose and it axis of motion is sideways and when the car moves sideways it gives dug dug noise

I know my suspension is bad but after installing fender sheilds, when I turn the car (not even full), the tyres start rubbing the sheild and making very bad noise. My tyres are stock size. Any solution?

If car is maintained correctly, it is very reliable.
Don't know much about resale. You can check on pakwheels.

Hi Pakwheelers.

I have purchased a Civic 98 recently and I was not aware of the fact that it is very low and becomes even lower when fully loaded with 5 people and luggage.

However, I usually travel lpng routes after 6-8 months at least and the route is not tha great either and so during the travel, the car bumped to the ground like at 10-15 places at least.

Now, I am thinking to get some spacers fitted in the shocks but I am completely noob in this and need A-Z guidance regarding spacers, kinds, cost, where to fit rear suspension or front etc and everything else relevant.

first check if your cars springs have sagged down?

replace springs with new if needed.

spacer install only in rear shocks. maximum 1 inch

spacers should cost maximum of rs 2000. including installation

Bhai if i were in ur place i would only get the springs changed if they have sagged down or if the previous owener has cut them in order to make the car low (a common practice). And it should be enough. If still it hits then i would pass over breakers very slowly and diagonally (hope u r familiar with this practice).
