@hash4u sir since one of the mechanics suggested that the ecu installed was dual vtec and new ecu and rewiring is required, do you suggest that I should get the work done as suggested by him?

check if ur car has 1 or 2
first let us know if its dual stage vtec engine or single
or no vtec at all

changing ecu is additioanl expense for person doing swap and makes no sense
2nd opinion with someone good with computer electronics highly recommended

No it will not have compatibility problem but a messed up wiring can cause such issue.
Looks like signal vtec to me. But still you should check the vtec solenoid.

Alright this engine is single vtec and ecu p2j-j63 is cvt dual vtec d15b ecu. Send a complete picture of your engine this is not D15B for sure it is D16.

Yes it's d15b cvt ecu.
No engine is d15b you can see the intake manifold, it is of d15.
It's an obd2 ecu. I don't know obd1 to 2 conversation is done or not.
You should get your wiring check.

The manifold is from PK6V, D16Y8 most probably.

@Ahmed bhai and @Hassan bhai I ll send the complete picture of the engine in the morning. I got my car checked from yet another mechanic He drove it and said that it seems to be timing issue or faulty fuel pump. Since while getting the car tuned the day before yesterday the mechanic told me that he had adjusted the timing belt, the fuel pump seems to be the culprit. Is there a way I can check it before getting it replaced. Ye na ho ke change bhe krwa lon and faraq phr bhe na pare. Also do you think that it could be caused by faulty pcv valve?

I noted the following things today:
1. Even without ac the car is too lazy to pick up speed. Instead when press the throttle hard it gives "ghoon" sound.
2. With ac turned on the poor thing hesitates alot. After delay of 3 4 seconds it starts to accelarate. Also gives jerks with ac turned on.
It seems that engine is exterting power but something is blocking it

Brother basic thing is you have wrong ecu and wiring for wrong engine. First things first, check that if this engine is healthy get compression test done if values are <170psi then you are good to go, then you should sort out your wiring and ecu stuff else if compression is low i would advise you a proper complete D15B dual vtec swap or D16Y8 which is highly unlikely that you will get it.
And timing isn’t set like this in these engines first you need to get engine on operating temperature i.e. <82C then short the the diagnosis connector for the ECU to show base timing because the ECU moves the timing beyond the timing marks upto 50 degrees advance in some situations. Then adjust timing by using timing gun and it will be dead accurate at 16 degrees btdc.

Ahmed bhai could you please suggest me some good workshop having all the equipment for the compression test and related stuff. Most of the workshops dont have the proper equipment and they operate on guess basis.

That "ghoon" sound can be because of slipping clutch.
Your compressor is take too much load need a checkup.
Fuel pump can cause lack of some and jerks in some cases. You have to use pressure gauge to check the pressure inside tha fuel rail to check the fuel pump or you can use multimeter and see the resistance getting change as pump heatsup.
About the diagnosis I can guide you how to put ecu in diagnostic if you want to do it yourself. If engine got original wiring there should be a port in it.
As bhai said You can visit All motor, it's a good workshop. Little bit expensive but worth it. You can get the address from internet.

Hassan bhai and Ahmed bhai I ve checked the engine. Luckily D15b is written on it. If I take my car to All Motors what things do I need to get checked? Also could you give me an estimate of how much would they charge for complete checkup of the car excluding the cost of any part that might require to be replaced as I ve already spent around 25k on it. Also which guy to look for there? I ve heard alot about Magic Motors Johar Town. Which among the two would you suggest?

Good. So you have correct but it's just cvt also. Between Cvt ecu is rare.
Usman bhai is the owner of All motor you can go directly to him in the workshop. Tell him the problems and he will guide you further.
Didn't know much about magic motors.

Take your car to Allmotor and tell them your issues i am sure they’ll guide you rightly. First thing is ask them to do its compression test then do other things.
