Cost estimate?
You would have to check your local parts store. Genuine oem parts were Nissin, they’re rarely sold after market. Try to get some Japanese parts else taiwanese will be available easily.
Slave unit genuine Honda will cost over 3000, half from scrap
Sir this is a common problem in this model of Honda Civic, its slave and clutch cylinder leaks very often and most of the times scrap parts not work. I had this car, I replaced the master cylinder twice with scrap yard parts which were quite clean but those failed under a month. I got rid of getting a brand new Japanese part.
My mechanic only replaced the kit (what he calls it) and top up the clutch fluid. Only costed 300 rupees but now my clutch pedal feel very different, it doesn't have that pressure which was there previously and and the engagement point is more closer to the floor. Is it ok or I need to do the adjustment
engage point can be adjusted. you can seek help from your mechanic who replaced the kit.
replace the slave cylinder. and pour in fresh brake oil.
the cylinder is about Rs 1600 FIC japan brand.
The clutch is going strong after replacing the kitIt was not bleeded properly but after using it for few drives it has got his power back
Can anyone tell me if there can be black water on exhaust in my car driven on cng? And what can be the reason?@rajaahmed96@nfssaad @Hassan1991
Soot in exhaust, it turns the water black.
Is this because of rich cng setting or wrong timing?
This is because of years of soot accumulated in exhaust from petrol. Your car was running rich on petrol and after cng during cold start it will drop some water from exhaust which will turn black for sure. This is mostly result of bad MAF and running on direct fan with no thermostat. Have a look at my 1998 civic vti silencer below which i have sold now, it had D15B dual vtec.
That's just burning gases deposits. Water just gets black due to dirt. Water is a good sign.
My car is driven only around 1200 kms from last oil change in April 2019. I poured ZIC X7 10W40 fully synthetic. It's almost 9 months now but car driven so much less kms. Should I change the oil or not?
@Hassan1991@rajaahmed96
Change it in april. 5000kms or 1 Year whichever comes first.
Check it. If colour and viscosity seems right use it for like +4k km. they usually have like 5 years of expiry date. It's written on the container.
I am having difficulty judging colour
Take a picture and share.
that 5 year expiry is for packed container.
ie if the oil remains unused and seal packed for 5 years, it should be discarded.
when used, it greatly depends on usage scenario. highly humid and dusty areas should replace in 6 months.
Nope. Oil companies usually lie about there life span, marketing (from source) .Yes but that is when it's used. 1200kms are nothing.Remember I'm talking about quality product. Not a cheap one.
