Recently bought a Civic 2003 (auto). It's giving me starting problems. When turning on the ignition, the motor cranks but won't start. It takes a long self (8-10 times) to start but after the first start, it runs smooth and restarts with a single self. Sometimes it even takes more time. Here are a few things I did but no luck:
Changed battery - the old battery was not good enough for 1500cc engine
Changed ignition coils - One of the old ignition coils was not passing the current + one was cracked so I changed them all.
Changed fuel pump - Old fuel pump was giving whining noises.
Despite all this, the problem still exists. There is no check light on the engine. This is my first car and I am totally clueless. My last resort is to get help/suggestion from experienced members. Also, it would be great if you guys can suggest me a good mechanic/electrician in rwp/isb.
