Civic 2005 AC Gas

civic 2005 manual everything changed to increase pickup of the car but it always seems heavy and keeps minor jerks and gives late response to pedal push with and without AC.

recently a mechanic took out some of the gas of AC and showed me KEECHAR sort of liquid in his hand saying ur gas is bad quality and ur compressor is putting load on engine and said all gas has to be taken out to bring engine to life. car has become responsive but he says its for few days only

my question is if AC is not on as it is winter is compressor still running and putting load on AC? or compressor puts load on engine only when AC is turned on since i feel car heavy without AC and with AC too.

should i take out all the gas and will it improve pickup of the car and wait till summer to arrive and then refill gas. keeping compressor without gas has any bad effect overealll.

more heavy with AC and less heavy witoht AC the engine seems underpowered and late responsive

There are too two different problems with you car, one related with the engine and the second with your AC.
When the AC compressor is not running like in winter it can't put load on the engine until and unless there is a problem in the AC clutch.
For the engine check the lube oil grade and its mileage, air filter, spark plugs etc.
In the case of compressor letting the gas out of the system won't help in removing the black sludge, it is there because of contamination of oil and wear and tear of the compressor, you have to completely flush the system. I would suggest to let this job done at a later stage once you sort out the engine problem.

Shabbir bro have checked the car with so many mechanics and changed every thing even twice from filter,pump,TB,coils,injectorts,plugs,air filter nothing left and mechanics say all is fine nothing wrong with car....coz i drive it daily so i know that is not giving full power its sorta responds late......yes my cars engine is givnig abnormal sounds but its not decreasing any oil at all and even compression test is fine....cng was removed years ago to increase performance but no permanent resolution to car....

talking about compressor yes my compressor clutch gives sound....on idle ac trips and when turns on sounds like squeeeak for a second from compressor. cooling is not good at all......how can i totally flush the system as i m planning to put in fresh gas this summer as i have always mixed gases from different shops

I dont think the lack of response is AC related. I think you should look at the throttle body and throttle cable.

For the sluggish response you may check the TPS output. Please go through the TPS caliberation thread(s) on this forum.
For the AC system flushing you have to first dismantle complete AC system i.e., all line sets, condensor, evaporator (with TEV isolated) and then thoroughly wash them with acetone, compressor should be flushed with fresh compressor oil only.
If the system is severely poluted with gunk then you will need to replace condensor and evaporator and in the worst case the compressor as well i.e., almost the entire AC system.
All O-rings must be replaced with new one and a new filter unit has to be installed, refill the required quantity of oil pull the vacuum and fill in the exact quantity of referigerant measured by weight. The system must run with satisfactory results provided the TEV and compressor are in good nick.

Multiflow/parallel flow condensers cannot be flushed properly.
So condenser would be changed if there is sludge in system due to contamination OR by mixing different oil's.

Your mechanic is fooling you. If A/C is "OFF" then there is no reason that compressor is making your car heavy. The problem is somewhere else. First carry out complete tuning of your car engine including tappets clearances adjustment, spark plug change, throttle body cleaning, fuel filter cleaning, ignition coils checking. Use fuel injector cleaner before every engine oil change. Lift up the car and check free rotation of each tire. If any tire is found not rotating freely then repair the fault. Check all four shock absorbers and change them if found weak. Do wheel alignment of all four wheels. Change all four tires if found worn out or become very hard. Flush the engine by draining out old oil and flush with 2 liter diesel by starting engine on idle speed for 10 to 15 minutes. This will make your engine smooth. Use low viscosity engine oil like 5w/30. Change gear transmission oil with original Honda oil. Change Power steering oil with new one. All these factors have overall a deep effect on your car performance.

As your car engine has become high mileage so probably it requires de-carbonation. When I purchased my used civic exi 2006, it has lot of carbon in combustion chambers thus the efficiency of my car was not up to the mark. Then I started using fuel system and fuel injector cleaners regularly before every oil change and it brought a new life to my engine. Then one day I decided to de-carbonized the engine by using vacuum line method. This vacuum pipe is connected to brake booster. When engine become fully warm up, remove vacuum rubber pipe and spray carburetor cleaner directly in to the vacuum pipe intermittently. Consume full bottle and after that you will feel how responsive your car engine has become. You can also use this method with distill water. Remember to reconnect vacuum pipe back to brake booster. Do this method once or twice a year for optimum results.

thank you very muchfor replies. i have changed coils,TB,injectors,plugs,filters many times but car never showed best performance permanently. even wheels are free. on pressing the accel suddenly car sort of jerks and sound like ghooon and take late response.

ac clutch squeaaks and performance is bad... the mecahanic did this activity a year ago giving me good performance for few days....i tried this activity myself 2 days ago and car is powerful not sure uptil when....i have noticed that whenever my cars accel pedal is soft(after doing any of the engine related job)my car respnds welll then suddenly one fine day after a jerk or sometimes without a jerk car throttle become heavy so does car become less responsive....car always seems to give smell from exhaust which is nearly solved by changing injector the third time. car us underload hard to touch hundred even adfter clutch system changed and clutch works at right place..strange thing is car behaves better when any of above mentioned work is done.i have never changed condenser and yes even the evaporator grill fins are close causing less air to come through vents. my question is when engine is on isnt the condenser belt moving putting alteast some load on car?

brother Whereis that brake booster located?? what liquid or spray u used and does that resolve it issue for long run? my engine is suffocated that's what I feel can I do this activity myself or go to mechanic what should I ask him to do in desi terms the combustion chamber must be full of sludge I m sure. changing engine oil and oil filter is good idea after this action ??

just did decarbonise thong woth no smoke coming from exhaust pickup is better just as throttle body service
