aoa what is the price of new genuine not chinese fuel pump of civic 2005 exi.

i have tried chinese fuel pump new and used as mechanic said its genuine but actually it comes up as chinese one. car is sluggish and hesitate to respond or give mild jerks when accelerating.

everytime the so called japenese pump is used car becomes powerful for few days and then one fine day with a jerk car becomes sluggish again....mechanics use thumb way to check he pressure and say pump is weak or take out the pump and put in water to check pressure. mechanics also suggest to change the coils to make their money. any one who can give genuine kabuli pump?

how much would honda charge to check this issue?

just put in new pump and filter which was choked. car run fine for two days very weightless and fast and response was perfect now car is sluggish again mechanic reckon i should get the fuel tank clean as filter had two much stuffin it. should i go for tank clean injectors were cleaned too.

hey there, get these things done in sequence and inshallah your problem will vanish.

1. open up ur tank and the filter attached and c if they are rusted or not. if rusted get em cleaned or better get new one. Cux the rust is a tricky business and usually it returns back soon. You wont find replacement genuine tanks easily, chinese one will cost around 5k. Better buy jdm civic 7th gen tank which is non metallic so wont get rusted ever. RUST SOLVED ONCE FOR ALL!

2. open up the fuel pump n get the filter replaced. If you dont replace it, by the way wont cost you more than 150, clean it thoroughly.

3. NOW check the fuel pump. Hold the rpm at 2500 and c if it can generate 42-47psi pressure dilevery. If it does, you r all set, otherwise dont listen to the mechanic's **** n get it changed. Genuine replacement one will cost you around 9k, chinese one might cost ~1800, denso one will cost you ~3k. Choice is yours, get the denso one if you dont wanna spend too much.

4. Lastly, check the injectors spray pattern as well. If the tank is rusted, your injectors will require some thorough cleaning as well, might even replacement.

get 70/30 high octane/regular filled in your tank and drive........

I know it might be too big a bill to manage in a go but then if you wanna get rid of the problem once for all, you need to do the inevitable. Skip the tank replacement part if your budet is tight for now. rest wont cost much

i dont know y but some time my mind goes towards the pvc valve as welll coz thats one thing that needs to be changed.....what the price of it and what is its use?where in rwp i can get it

Sorry for the late reply.

Pcv valves controls exhaust gases that somehow leaks in the crank case. If it's blocked it will reduce the performance increases fuel consumption.

I got Chinese pcv valve from Karachi nasir autos for 1000. Couldn't get the original one but it will cost 1700-3000. No idea about rawalpindi but you can get from any parts shop that stock 7th gen parts.

does pcv valve blockage cause rough idle,sluggishness, minor jerks(if coils and other things are OK). heavy sound of engine? late response?

the problem is when i say the name PCV valve in fornt of mechanics here....they are like WTF is this?then i say blow valve then all of sudden they say OH its a hard job....y u want to do it.......its winter its not gonna come off easily.....time consuming...........utube shows it takes only 20 mins to get that off and a 17 key.....i am planning to do it my self only problem is getting a good jack to lift car up.........what if i try to spray it with carb cleaner..will that work i m sure i m not going to get new 1 easily

another thing i noticed it when i start the car in extreme cold and let it to warm up....during that if i press the clutch rpm goes up a bit when i leave the clutch it comes down and again same process the same thing happen.

Actually mine is prosmatec so I can't say anything about clutch behaviour. But on auto a little thing disturbs the whole equation..
Pcv blockage is supposed to cause sluggishness, late response and also heavy sound. But no jerks or rough idle.
Yes my cars response get better very much but not as good as it should be but there are other factors too which I am slowly resolving. My cousin's 7th gen is in pretty good nick after seeing my valve he got his replaced too and his results were very good as his all other variables are already very good
Get hold of a pcv valve, check its working when buying. Then remove the old one it's not easy as old valve may be stuck and you have to remove the bracket first which will take time but it's worth the effort.
After replacing pcv check for your fuel pump, plugs and coils. In my observation honda system go bad if one part is bad in the loop

for info of alll readers including talalrana84 i got my pcv valve yesterday.....contraty to utube vids it was black plastic thingi(utube showed it tobe made of iron) it was cleaned with spray it was choked a bit any way he installed it back(i did wit oil change) but i doubt it was pcv valve but he got that out of same place...................any ways te engine sound is bit controled and pickup is bit better(may be coz of oil chane) car is more responsive abt 25 percent better but have to see until when.

i havent driven it much will take car for run on hihgway to better judge it...............car will be under obs for alteast next 50 kms

Its black plastic in Pakistan even mine which I got Chinese is yellow and black. Yes it will make difference in pick and control engine sound. Its location is behind the engine block under the air filter just right side of the intake manifold.

Its working is checked by blowing air through it, the air should blow freely on one side and restricted from the other side. Its like a non return valve used in plumbering.

Anyhow I pray your problem is resolved with this. Keep us updated

yes bro i drove it nearly 70 k today and yes car was much lighter and so was engine sound....mechanic visually inspected it and said its OK and it just need cleaning and he did it but funny thing is while putting back the valve he did from up side of engine.thats y i was but doubty about valve.........but once the car was started car's rpm start behaving abnormally continous up down so ecu was resest which brought the car back to normal...mechanic said did u washed the TB recently and i was like yes many many times..........problem is still there.............in 2017 i got clutch set changed coz of pick issue and as soon as car was started it started shaking like hell...............opened the gear box again next day again tooled the set(new set) drove it for few days car was very very light and powerful the shaking problem started again.................at the end i put the old set again............and driving it though shaking at clutch release is there but cant afford to spend on it again..........the car tank also has mud in it as i once a month clean the fuel filter and out comes some keechar but it makes car responsive for few days........it has japenese civic fuel pump(after changing the kabuli and chinese pumps some 5 times) injectors are changed twice(at the moment one injector is different from rest 3),TB was changed years ago...and so were coils.........mechanic check them by desi way and say they are good.

Moral of the story pcv valve does make car more responsive and reduce the delay time.
