This message is just for awareness of every one using civic 2005 exi

recently timing belt of my car broke up...............car was towed to mechanic who then opened it up........another issue was that engine oil was leaking from tappet head for may years as the head bolts were slipped. mechanic opened the whole head of engine and i took it to saddar rawalpindi and met Qaiser a Sana Autos................the Chap was nice and charged two thousand for valve replacement and service 1000 for surfacing.

By head bolts did you mean tappet/valve cover bolts?

for the knowledge of people i am updating the post.

few weeks after the head was done engine started to make disturbing sounds like kar ker kar..............power became to zero...............showed engine to mechanic they all said engine is gone......tapperts are running dry as oil is not coming from chamber....oil pump is gone now change the engine.............i drove the engine like this for a month and then one day came across this nice man near bahria town rawalpindi.........

i asked him for tappet adjustments.........he also told me that oil is not coming up and the engine sound is due to tappet and head running dry. ......................now 2 solutions.

1. under the tappet section where cams are there is a small tube that brings oil up to head..........i will clean it if it is blocked. after cleaning oil will start coming up.
2. if it doesnt work then ur oil pump is gone and it needs to be changed can cost some 5-10 k.

any how he cleaned the tube with a needle and guess what oil start flowing like a fountain..............tappet adjusted............engine is smooothest in sound and performance......never experienced this from day 1 with this civic..........only minor sound is still there and thats coz cam are scratched due to dry run.....

he is young guy in 30's but always have hondas in front of his shop he work on honda mostly...Allah Khush Rakhay saved me huge amount of money.

Purchase head assembly Civic 2004 d15y6 non vtec on 17-10-2023 for 130000 and sold old engine assembly for 25000 in Rawalpindi Chah Sultan.....Any one planning to buy one should have 150000 in pocket.
