I recently bought a 2006 Honda Civic and have been facing a few issues that I’d really appreciate some help with:
The acceleration feels very unresponsive, especially during the day when the AC is on. I really have to press the pedal hard to get it moving.
The car often turns off at low RPMs, especially when I’m slowing down or idling. This usually happens more when the AC is running. Also the car is not smooth in low speed 1st gear and give jerks and I had to press race to make it ok.
There’s some missing/jerking in 1st gear, especially when moving from a complete stop.
And the biggest concern — the fuel average is terrible, around 5–6 km/l.
I haven’t done any major work on it yet because I want to get a proper diagnosis before replacing parts blindly.
If anyone can recommend a reliable scan check or diagnostic shop in Islamabad or Rawalpindi, that would be a huge help. Also, if anyone has faced similar issues with this model, please share what worked for you.
