do note down the part no. of the ECU when u go to buy it from the scrappies and get only the ECU of the same part number. ECUs are not manufactured n Pakistan by Atlas and Honda imports all from thailand. so whether that ECU is off a local or imported Civic it wont matter. ECUs of all cars are damn expensive. they are quite robust are rarely fail. the reason for failure is usually short circuiting due to short circuiting or hooking up wrong wires in wrong ports etc. all DealerSHITs are idiots and most of the time fail to diagnose the correct faults. the failure of not detecting ur ECU could be of the loose OBD port or some other wiring fault. remove all the ECU connectors and try to reset the ECU.google ur model and try to get the procedure of resetting it. it night just work and save u the heavy bucks. show it to some competent local mechanic aswel. it might just be a loose connection or some dirt on the ECU pins. get the connectors cleaned up . then begin with the name of ALLAH and you just might get lucky!! INSHAALLAH.
now if still all the diagnostics fail and we still find out that its the ECU that is at fault then do take your car. replace the ECU and the do a test drive to see that if its working fine. to start with what you can do is to remove ECU of similar car of any of your freinds/family and then check whether it really is the ECU at fault or anything else. the fol is the number of a reputable electrcian of Chah Sultan named Arshad. do show your car to him for a second opinion
