Civic 2009 vs 2010

Assalam alaikum,
I am inshallah planning to buy a used civic reborn next year. However I have a little confusion that I hope you guys using your wisdom and experience can sort out for me.

Please note that I can afford both fuel and maintenance of this car. Also I have decided to go for a civic since it has a significantly less theft rate as compared to corolla.

Coming back to my question, a used honda civic 2009 is available at an avg. price of 11.5 lacs while a used 2011 model costs 13.5 lacs. Is paying +2lacs worth it? It will take me another 3 months to save that amount. Should I save extra to buy 2011 model or is it a wise decision to go for 2009? Will it make any difference?

If civic 2009 is in good condition then buy it. Otherwise go for 2011 model. Both cars are of same generation so there will not be any major difference in features.

If the condition of 2009 is good then definitely you should go for it.

Thank you all for the great advice. @Ali Ammar I am going for auto. I have a manual car (Suzuki) at the moment. But I hate it having to constantly change gears during rush hours in Karachi. That's the reason for the decision to go for auto.

It's not really about the model here, all you've to look for is a good clean well maintained car. Civics r generally very reliable cars and a 2 year difference won't matter a lot. But if you can stretch a bit more, better buy the newer model i.e. 2013, shape change. It's one of the finest civics till date. It has a better fuel economy, better ergonomics, improved engine and interior. But if u want to stick to reborn, splash some extra cash n buy a clean car.

At the same price, I could buy City 1.3 2011. My boss had
a later model same design car. But I felt that it was underpowered, and not fun to drive. The interior was not worth the money as well.

Also, City auto fuel consumption is around 9 to 10 km/l in city, which is not that different than civic 1.8 auto i.e. 7 to 8 km/l in city, which I can afford.
