I have the 6th gen civic in manual transmission exi, as it ages it will give more and more work. It has a double wishbone suspension that requires more frequent maintenance than most other cars which now use a macpherson strut. I would not advise you to go for one as I have encountered several problems in mine even after spending a great amount bringing it into top notch condition. Since it is over two decades old you would practically need to change every part with oem or good quality aftermarket parts to make it hassle free
On the other hand I would ask you to consider getting a 2004 Honda City IDSI in manual transmission if you want quality at a more affordable price. I have made an additional post on this forum in which it breaks down how much it costs to replace its mechanical and suspension components in great detail. It is imo one of the best budget cars with great fuel economy that you can get for around 800k and spend a bit on it.
Parts are much more readily available and cheaper for a city and it has much better technology than cultus and the old 6th gen Civic.
