Hi Pakwheelers. I am new to this community and i am not sure if I am posting in the right category. I recently bought a civic 8th generation also known in Pakistan as reborn. The sole purpose of buying the car was to build a daily driven that looks good too. I did my research and concluded that I wanted to do a SI conversion project. After contacting different workshops and youtubers, i was able to source interior and exterior of SI. Right now i have complete front of SI including bumper, lights, grills, bonnet and fenders, and also complete rear including lights, trunk and spoiler. For interior i was able to source dashboard, door gaurds, centre console and climate control. Still searching for original SI meters.
Now comming to its mechanical side, it seemed very easy after seeing youtubers and online workshops to swap a K20 in it. but now after talking to workshops and mechanic it seems impossible to do swap. some suggests k20 some suggests k24 and some do not suggest a k swap at all. I need a daily driven with everything working on it without check engine lights turning on every now and then. So Pakwheelers what do you suggest what should i do? should i go for a swap? if yes then which one and how reliable will it be? and if not what do you suggest, what should be done to gain some power?
