Hello erryone.
So basically, my company just screwed me over and is taking back the company provided vehicle which was a brand new 2018 Honda city. This means i will not be able to enjoy the carefree time of driving a new vehicle anymore. And I am not able to go for a new car lease option for another 12-18 months since im already tied up in a savings plan.
So now i need to find myself a car which I will enjoy driving as well will enjoy keeping up with minimum expenses and minimum trips to the workshops.
A bit about myself, i do not mind getting my hands dirty and i consider myself very knowledgeable about cars and how they work. my family used to own a 95 civic when I was 10 to 15 years old. I also got an engine swap in a Charade when i was 18 years old. Just telling you all this so you have a little idea of what kind of person I am when it comes to cars.
But now since 6 5 years, i have been driving company provided (sarkari) vehicles. So I am not up to date with the current car market and information.
And I am very very interested in going for an old civic instead of a corolla. Since I might be able to work on the car's performance and looks with time. But then people have scared me telling me that the civic 95 and 2000 will be breaking down every now and then specially due to its non reliable suspension (and someone even mentioned sensors malfunctioning in the 2000 efi engine every now and then).
SO guys, please shine some light on a poor mans illogical dream of owning a 95 or 2000 civic. Should I go for a 95 civic with a simple d15b engine swap plan in the near future? or should i try to find a 2000 vti? or even a 2000 city?
Thanks in advance!
