Congrats dear! Did you get compression test for the engine you bought?

Make sure before the engine is fitted in the car, all cooling galleries are in perfect shape and there is no rust or mineral deposit. Replace all hoses and pipes and get a new radiator and from day 1 use quality coolant.

Thanks brother. Nopes! Should I? I am not sure if the mechanic does that. Not very sound with this knowledge myself.

No rust was seen, and will check further. Yes, new radiator/pipes will be installed inshaAllah.

This is exactly the fuel pump available for Rs. 2000.
@shazo: Did you use the same eg tank? Any problems faced?

yea the one i am holding is fuel pump assembly, which is off EK civic, but in order to fit it in EG you need to cut the center part of Tank, let me attach picture here, well only issue i faced is you need to keep fuel atleast of RS 500 every time in tank, if fuel is low then you will face hicups on sharp turns, stating problems on slops, one last thing, seat it properly and or dnt try to refill the tank at max! you will face leaking issue from that area. i later replaced my tank with EFI one off CIVIC EG, for 12k 2 years back. my 2 cent advice, i already have this one tank with me, i suggest you to sell your tank without cutting it, it will go for good amount, give me good offer ill let go my old tank and use it, do experiments on it. it laying around and covering good space for no good reason.

I m talking abt ek tank here .... And @shazo is right, u have to cut under the seat to make space inlet for fuel pump bracket .... Abt fuse box, i dont hve any idea but i think there will be no need of this for fuel tank swap but for engne swap i guess u will need efi fuse box also

What about Cultus efi tank which lowresolution suggested? That, with fuel pump (picture above), and installation of low fuel sensor. Workable?

As for the fuse box, if its a necessity, i will do it in later stage after car is running.

Thanks for making that clear mate. Now its a bit more understandable. On google i only found pics of eg fuel tank of efi i guess, which is why i didnt undertand the need to cut it to fit the pump. Now i do.

What about my question above? Cultus efi fuel tank with fuel pump (the one you installed), and installation of low fuel sensor. Workable?

So i visited the workshop after work. The old engine was already out and new engine still lying there. Clutch/pressure plates were to be changed so that happened. Engine will probably be installed tomorrow. Not sure what time, but will visit there around 11 in the morning before going to work.

Need help. The hose coming out from power steering pump has different size than the one previously attached. See picture 1.

The yellow is the one that came with the new engine, whereas the red one is the original hose. The mechanic is suggesting that the metal pipe be cut and simply the "plug" at the end be replaced (that connects to steering pump).

Now the other side of the hose (yellow one) that came with the engine can be seen in picture below.

Please see the sensor in the red circle. This is the other end of the power steering hose pipe that came with new engine.

What does this sensor do? Is this required? If the pipe is simply cut and old hose with new connector is used, then this hose with sensor will have to be taken off.

Please confirm. I hope I have explained properly.

Oh and of course, the engine is now swapped.

Take old pipe and new pipe to guy who repair ac lines, he will cut both faces, and weld them, that sensor is off ac filter. Ek sensor comes on it while eg sensor sits on condenser.

civic EG has a problem of air trapping,

sir why this air trapping issue occur I mean I have seen some car with same engine (on different chassis) one having air trapping issue the other doesn't

Ok so you are saying that I can disregard the filter and just have the new face welded to old pipe...

But then this question...What is EK ac filter sensor doing on the power steering pipe?

From whats been decided so far, the fuel tank will be altered to fit in the fuel pump along with a sump.

Also got the Air filter box of Civic EK. I hope it will fit in fine in my eg.

agree with shazoo its direct bolt on ...... just checked it my self ...was told that it fits .... costs about 10k ..

no idea about cultus so which ever works perfect go for it .......

Are you talking about eg efi tank? Where will i find that? Dont tell me shershah... :-\

But the thing is, if a proper sump is being created in the fuel tank, the issue of low fuel problems and stalling on turns possibly won't be an issue.

you asked once who much 98 civic fuel tank costs ...thats what m telling you ..it costs around 10k ..... a lil work is required as mentioned by shazo

Oh alright. Im trying to limit my budget since its already going to cross what i expected, so 10k additional i want to keep as a last resort.
