Civic 99-00 power antenna -Help

Hope you are all fine.

I have civic 99-00 vti orial automatic. I have some queries about power antenna of my car:

When I on the switch not starting the car, power antenna goes up and when I off the switch power antenna goes down normally.

1. I want to know that is this factory connection that during switch on antenna goes on and goes down when switch is off?

2. What is the price of brand new OEM power antenna for civic 99-00?

Please experts including @racerali tell me current connection with switch is factory one or not?

   Ans: Yes this is a factory connection and also you can control antenna by turing ON/Off your Pre(Radio).Also check is there only three wires connecting to you antenna.

2. What is the price of brand new OEM power antenna for civic 99-00?
   Ans:New one cost you 9000rs From honda shop Sadder and OEM (Kabli) cost you 2000-2500rs From Chah Sultan

Some wire is short.... Power Antena has three wires....1)Ground 2)+ve direct from Battery 3)+ve from Radio reciever.
When you switch on the Radio from Pre it powers the 3rd wire and antena goes up....when it is turned off only 1 and 2 are powered and antena does down....
Eithetr some wire is short or your pre is faulty that when you turn in the ignition 3rd wire gets automatically powers and your Radio antena is deployed....
Dont think so you can get OEM antena for so old model.....All antenas are same and have same installation and looks just quality is different.....I got it for Rs.1100 some time ago....But i dont't think there is anything wrong with antena if it goes up and down normally...

There are three ways to control the power antenna (excluding the half function)

1. directly through accessory power (ignition switch)
2. through radio on/off
3. using a switch to activate the antenna which is normally fixed in the center armrest console

Here are two wiring diagrams for the power antenna one is using radio control and the other is through a switch

I hope this may help you in fixing your car antenna.

My antena's wires are black for ground, red for battery and yellow from deck....
First make sure that your deck supports auto antena....btw almost all decks do....on wire harness there would be wire for antena....it is ususlly labeled 'antena'....if there is bo labeling locate it using voltmeter or 12v test light......it is the wire that would give 12 volt when radio is on .....connect that to antena...... no need to worry about connection....just make sure ground is connected properly....rest two +ve wires wont harm even if not connected properly...antena will not work....swap both +ve connections..... it may sound complex but it is a 5 min job and very simple if you have basic knowledge of wiring..... tell me if this deck thing dont work....i'll tell you how to install switch to operate antena...it is even simpler but then you have to opertae aatena manualy....i have done this in my car as i didnt wanted antena to go up always when radio is on aa some channels work fine with antena down.....and chances of damaging antena is higher with antena up.....

Yes it supports the remote operation of power amplifier/power antenna.

Check blue/white wire with a ferrule type connector, utilize this wire for the power antenna operation but for safety use an interposing relay.

But it is still better to use an antenna switch independently or in combination with the radio power on/off for manual control of antenna deployment.

Here is a reference picture of antenna switch.

Alternatively, you can use any push (latching) type switch which you can fit in the center armrest console or in the dash.

Press the SRC Botton on left until radio display this time your car,s power antenna power on and when you again press SRC botton and choose any other like CD,AUX,USB your car,s power antenna turn off

Here are the circuits that could be used for power antena....i am using the second one....it gives me more control.....3rd one can be used if deck does not support powr antena or power antena output is faulty..... as your deck supports it i'll suggest you go with 2nd config...
