Civic 9th Gen Rebirth - Steering wheel hard when cold start

I just bought a Civic 2014 a month ago, The problem is whenever I start my car the first time in the day, the Steering wheel gets hard with a "Check Steering System" error. Then it needs to turn off the car completely, remove the key, put that back again, and start the car. then this will go. This seems to be related to the cold start issue. When the car is cool the steering gets hard again and again - and when the car gets warmer and hot then there will be no issue.

As the previous owner said "He recently replaced the torque sensor" so I don't think there is an issue with the torque sensor.

Let me correct that last sentence.

I had someone do checks with a 12v testlamp on my placenta model civic and then got a scrapyard torque sensor of questionable condition and had it slapped in.

Proceed to a real diagnostic mechanic/workshop who can dig deep and identify whats causing this. The list to go through isnt just visual or 12v testlamp or just using a scantool to read error codes.

You maybe having a bus communication issue to the eps controller when dead cold.
