Does civic exi prosmatec have vtec engine?? I am asking because my engine doesnot have vtec cover....i just want to confirm....because i just heard and got info that vtec starts from d17 mean 1.7 ltrs engine....is it true..

Bro, can you please confirm if exi variants comes with d16/y3 engines 04,05 models? I am looking for a car and the book and smart card mentions d16/y3. According to owner its a genuine engine.

No. Pakistani civic EXI from 2001 to 2006 came with 1500cc D15Y3 engine only (automatic and manual both). The VTI trim has D16W9 engine.
The mentioned engine (D16Y3) is swapped and the documents have been updated, hence it shows updated engine number. The seller is either not informed of this or is lying, stay away from it.
