Civic Hybrid 2010 or City 2010 by against Civic 2006 Oriel VTI

Since the day I purchased Honda Civic 2006 VTI Oriel last year, I've been worried about its fuel mileage. I've tried so many things but in vain. Finally I've decided to sell off this car n get some other car with better fuel mileage. There main reason behind selling off by current car is to save some amount on monthly fuel expenses.
I've checked Honda City 2010 Manual models which comes in my budget. But one of my relatives has suggested me check Honda Civic Hybrid 2010 model which is more or less of the same price as of Honda City 2010 model but with better fuel mileage than the Honda City.

I would like to get sincere advise here that I should go for which car? Honda Civic Hybrid 2010 or Honda City Manual 2010?

Coz I seriously need to get rid of this elephant i.e. Honda Civic 2006 VTI Oriel.

hybrid is hybrid...heard that honda hybrid system is not as good as toyotas....but still have heard good reviews of fit....but remember that local ustaads do not offer good support for hybrids....honda city is also a very good car with good local support....if i had to pick one then civic hybrid would be a better choice if the car is well maintained...

Civic 2010 hybrid isnt a good choice. heart so many negative reviews about it. Mr Hayat Umer also pointed out that honda hybrid system isnt as good as of toyotas. Honda Fit is good and its hybrid system is better. by the way what average you are getting from Civic VTI Oriel 2006 model. i own 2005 vti oriel prosmatic thats why want to know

If the car is well maintained... Do you think that cars in Lahore would be well maintained in terms of kind of mechanics we have?

Well my Civic VTI is giving 240-250 litres from a full tank. Which averages about 6-6.40km per litre. That's way too low. I've tried so many things but in vain.

So finally want to sell it off.

What about your car?

damn. thats too much. my gave 400km with heavy foot and with light foot about 450

Not at all. Since the day purchased this car last year in February, initially in the winter season without AC it gave me 320KM with full tank (although the tank is 44ltrs but I consider it 40Ltrs. With that calculation it gave me 8KMPL. But currently it is giving only 6 - 6.25KMPL i.e. approx 240-250 KM with full tank which is way way way too low for me.

I've done all I could but in vain. Got it tuned from local as well as Honda Authorized Service but none is able to help it at all.

I wonder how you are getting 400-450 km per tank. Guide me please, before I sell it off soon!

Stay away from Civic Hybrid. It is a failed car everywhere in the world.
