I have recently received my civic which was booked with Navigation option, which i am glad that i paid extra for it and i am glad, that i excluded the leather seat cover option .
In-fact, these are latherite seat covers as sold by Honda not leather, the same duplicate seat covers are available in market, i recently had it installed on my civic, i was told, if i want the same to be stitched on original seat covers then it would cost me 6500 and if i want it to be installed without stitching then it would cost me Rs. 6000. I put the condition in front, that if he wants the job, the technician should be the best, further, I told the installer, that i would pay him extra Rs. 200 if he does the job well as stitch it like as is done in factory.
he agreed and i love the results. Remember, that paying a lot of extra money is not a criteria for a superior work men ship, you should look for a skilled workmen but should try to negotiate as much as possible on the job as otherwise this has became an order of a day for people trying to rip you off as they feel, either its a six or otherwise, they have nothing to loose.
