Sirs, in karachi every road is now in bad condition due to current rains and well IMO corolla will become good option as its ride is not bumpy and withstand the pot holes,
plus as an average joe who has just one source of income it is mandatory to have a good millage car also which civic will not be providing me as it has not good millage figures.
so IMO corolla wins in this stand for me as other members are referring to driving feel etc but we need to realize that these are not sports cars and for family we usually need a practical car which corolla is.

That is definately a corolla edge over civic. I was clearing out the points which are other than mileage and resale etc.
btw one does not need to buy a sports car to enjoy driving. That is why a common man like us tries to get most of what he wants in what he can afford. Some want drive some want some thing else

Than again if we are comparing them price wise corolla also wins here as the price difference between both will be a big consideration.

What's wrong with analogue again, mate? Don't you think digital is so 80s. Have you ever seen an expensive luxury watch or expensive luxury car with digitals displays?
Now, I understand we are not discussing luxury cars here - but this digital thingy has made the Civic so...ummm :S Casioish !

I guess 1.8 altis (auto) was way better then new one.
1. Switchtonic
2. Better back light
3. More power (not actually sure about the amount of bhp difference)

Anyhow comparing manual, 6 speed transmission Altis, Altis is way better then manual civic.

Compared to civic auto, civic is better except its hard steering, stiff seats and suspension and expensive parts. Corolla EPS rocks.

The thing with corolla is that if u buy a Xli/Gli or Altis the comfort remains the same only the horses change. Why not buy Gli rather then Altis and add altis accessories. No one knows from far that r u driving xli or altis. If buying a corolla always go for xli or gli.

I dont know y people say that the drive of civic is better then corolla, i guess they own honda or r fanboys, and not ready to admit corolla is better. Drive urself to see the difference of dual vvti and EPS. They will forget Onda.
