Civic Rebirth ground clearance as compared to Corolla Gli

Aoa all.

while making a decision between buying a 2014-15 Civic auto Vs Gli auto 2015-16, one thing is clear that Civic's features are way beyond Gli's. the only problem im predicting is the ground clearance of Civic.. while mostly i wl drive it in Islamabad, but while moving outside on family trips etc to e.g murree, nathia gali, sawat, kalam, kashmir, naran etc the ground clearance will be a big problem as compared to corolla Gli which you can take almost every where. my vote is for Gli cos...

you can take it anywhere without any problem

beautiful shape

cheaper parts available everywhere

easy and economical maintenance

Kindly give your valuable advice / expert opinion on these aspects

Rebirth is far far better than any gli auto. Clearance is not a problem unless u drive in pattoki sir

Muree is fine...and since we don't goto swat regularly, rebirth is the better choice...its just far superior

Civic is definitely far better than gli auto.
Gli auto wont have like massive difference in fuel economy.
As for maintenance yes slightly expensive but you do get benefits in civic

W.S. I don't think you'll face any such issues. Civic has reasonable ground clearance.

I think Rebirth might be the highest civic from the rear, it's far better then any Gli or Altis or Grande of 2014 and 2015, with much more features, and overall a very good car if it comes at the right price. It has better fuel economy then a Gli Auto 1.3, will have no ground clearance issue unless it's fully packed with ppl and luggage, but just look for a Civic that has genuine mileage, and well maintained. The late 2012, 2013 and some 2014 Civic's came with some rear suspension issue, laggy infotainment system. Check the car with your Tasali. 9th Gen Civic is better hands down.

with rebirth, will i not face problem while going to some of the places i mentioned like off rout velleys of Kashmir, or broken roads towards Kalam or Nathiagali with family and luggage... if I can't go to these places 'conveniently' even after spending so much money, what's the fun in it??

offcourse there's no debate on far superior features of civic than gli (except ground clearance)

Actually rebirth will have better mileage than gli auto...if somehow u can find Grande 2014-15 u will enjoy better mileage and drive..due to cvt and 1.8 engine..gli auto must not be even considered in this discussion

Civic is best option as compared to corolla gli. Ground clearance is not that bad in rebirth unless u drive it in punjabi villages with full load. Northern areas are not a problem for rebirth. Rebirth has reasonable ground clearance

Gli auto can't be considered in this discussion there is no comparison b/w rebirth nd gli auto. Try to find a grande 2014-15 you'll definitely love it

Rebirth has good ground clearance. Its fuel economy will be more or less same as gli auto, may be even more. Rebirth is better option than gli.

Anyways, in above scenario, I stand with Fastian04 / Salman; there is reason behind it (which he has also pointed out).
