Civic Rebirth UG vs. Corolla Altis 1.6 (2016-17) – Need Advice from Owners!
Dear all, As-Salam-u-Alaikum,
I need everyone's opinion, especially from those who have owned both the Civic Rebirth (2012-2015) UG and Corolla Altis 1.6 (2016-2017 pre-facelift model). I’m currently facing a dilemma in choosing between these two cars due to my budget of 43-44 lac max.
My Available Options:
Civic Rebirth UG
2013 Model – 50k km genuine mileage, verified via Honda dealership records, excellent condition. Finalizing at 40 lac (Islamabad registered).
2015 Model – 75k km driven, also well-maintained, around the same price.
Corolla Altis 1.6 (2016-17 pre-facelift model)
Mint condition options mostly finalizing between 43-44 lac.
My Usage:
Mostly within Islamabad.
Occasional long trips to Lahore (2-3 times a year).
Very minimal rural driving.
My Concerns & Questions:
Which car is better in terms of maintenance costs and reliability?
Fuel average comparison (real-world figures)?
Comfort and driving experience—especially for long trips?
Which is more practical in the long run for resale value?
I know Civic UG offers more luxury, but is the Altis 1.6 more practical overall despite missing some features of the Grande?
Given that I’m not an expert in distinguishing drive differences, would I regret choosing one over the other?
Would really appreciate input from actual owners of both cars who can share their experiences!
Looking forward to your valuable opinions. JazakAllah!
