I have a Honda Civic Reborn with an automatic transmission, and I’m experiencing an issue with the gear shifting. When I start the car in the morning and the engine is still cold, I notice that the gear takes a jerk when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. The RPM increases significantly, and after a jerk, the car shifts from 2nd to 3rd gear, then to 4th gear as well.
However, after driving for a while and the engine temperature reaches normal, this issue seems to resolve. It only occurs during the initial phase of driving when the car is cold. On long drives, the problem persists at the start, but as the car warms up, the shifting issue disappears.
I got the gear oil and filtered changed as well.
