Civic X Fenders & Rims are getting too hot. Reason?

Hi,

I am noticing that my car’s front fenders get too hot. Is it due to brakes or what? Even with normal and short drives they tend to get hot with rims included. What are the reasons and is it normal? Are brakes playing any role here? Any suggestion and conclusion regarding this would be a lot helpful.

Are they most warm near the bonnet?

I am not sure. But they are getting noticeably hot. Bonnet doesn’t get hot at all, the engine temps are fine too, only, the fenders and rims are getting hot maybe due to breaks but I drive very normally and on a shorter trips can feel the same too. Can you help diagnose this?

I think you are experiencing the hor air exhaust from the engine room. Brake temperature is quite high for disc brakes, dont try to feel them.

If you can feel heat when you take you hand near your wheel, then it's a locked caliper or air in the brake system.

Yes. You need to bleed your brake system and grease the caliper pins.
