When u drive thru puddle of water with some depth, the tires which go thru water experience slight decrease in speed compared to other other tires, lets say the right side tires through puddle of water while left on road surface with no puddle, now this difference in speed of right side tires vs left side tires wud cause the car to rotate, (the same approach is used in some robotic platforms for turning, ),
There r other factors also in play aswell.

Nd yes the stability control wud kick in but only after it has sensed that the yaw angle sensor value nd steering angle deviation exceeds a certain threshold, nd the system has its own limitations, dnt expect it to be a magicball that wud work flawlessly nd with godlike power
