Civic2007 in UAE - Speed Alert Beep

Hi All

I have recently purchased Civic 2007 in Dubai. I have daily commute on highway with allowed speed limit upto 140 km/h. However as soon i cross 120 speed, speed alert beep continues. And it does not stop unless i come back to 116. This thing is very annoying. I have noticed in some other cars that it comes for a short interval and then stops even if you go beyond 120.

So can anyone please suggest a solution. Any Sharjha/Dubai friend kindly assist or let me know if you know any electrician/mechanic to solve this issue. Thanks.

You will find this beep in all GCC specs cars. No way to disable beep.
on some models beeps turns off after 5 seconds but on most models it keep on beep until on unless your speed remain above 120Km/H

But is there any way to ugrade the software etc. Someone told me about this but i have No clue.

2nd option is to open the dashboard and put something on the beeper. Is this feasible to do so ??

If it goes for cancellation of licence, then better i will avoid this altogether.

But its really very annoying if you daily have a long trip of highway.

Here's what I do to avoid the beep in my fortuner. Once I hit 120 & right when the it starts to beep, I let go of the pedal & then speed up again. My car doesn't beep after that. Don't know if it'll work in a Honda.

Yes you can disable buzzer just unplug the wires. Any electrician can do this job.
But I shall not suggest you to do so because some time you forget keys inside/Lights remain open and its only buzzer that alert us.

Thanks all for your feedback.

The conclusion is to continue with this alert sound. As opening the dash board is also not a feasible solution.
