Climate control Vs. Normal AC in Car

Does AC with Climate Contro System consume more fuel in a car as compared to the standard AC?

Do cars with Climate Control System have the Knob(or what to call it exactly) to set the air for defogging wind screen and to set the air towards feet side of driver or passenger or it works automatically?

the fuel consumption is the same regardless of system unless you actually force the compressor not to run. The temperature and humidity is controlled by the system itself and will channel hot dry (AC) air towards the windshield, side vents and feet by default and will channel cold air from the centre and side vents.
