Dear pakwheel users, i tried to find subject information on the forums but could not get the answer in detail... though there are few threads related to CNG adjustment but few lack details and few lack pictures,,,so if any user can enlightened us as to how to adjust CNG adjustment in ALTO VXR and its related issues alongwith picx if possible,,,,,thnxz,,,
difficult query. ive had my ALTO tuned on CNG from the best mechanics i thought i knew.all tried their level best n could not get the car to be well tuned. always had starting problems.espcially if u missed the first attempt to start it then you would have it in the morning. rest all day it would start in a jiffy n so called half self! then i tried one mechanic in Jhelum n the car instantly became loveable. even in winters starts in the first attempt.pick is fantastic. Alto owners' who test drive it say its as if on petrol. great CNG mileage also. once got the tuning disturbed by a local n again no one could get it back to the ideal setting. then had to go to the mechanic again n took a respite. he keeps the idle speed a bit high.also adjusted the spark plug gaps. opens a part n has a small brass nozel with a spring if i recall. he cleans that or replaces it with a new one. n your Alto becomes a Ferrari. havent tuned my car in last 1.5 yrs n still going great despite being run 30k since the last tune up. however petrol consumption has inc due to the tuning. drive 95% on CNG so not bothered!
yes indeed it is a difficult query,,,,but lets wait, may be some one can reply.... but i do not agree with u tht ALTO has starting problems on CNG,,,,,i do not believe it.......u just need a good CNG mechanik, who knows how to do adjustment,,,,
YES.true. but the point is that majority of the mechanics are unable to get the right settings on the Alto for both CNG n petrol. if u happen to be on GT road sometime soon and have around half an hour at your end thne do stop at the Caltex pump in Jada/Jhelum which is next to Chaman ice cream GT road jhelum. the mechanics name is Abdur Rehman aka Lahori his no. is 03005406166. a decent fella wont charge more than 200-300 n won't leave your car till ur satisfied whether u make him spend 4 hrs on your car. He doesnt own a shop . he has just pitched up his tent. has some tools n some essential spares n off he goes. do call him up before u go to co-ord the tune. regards n all the best
thnkx i would certainly try the mekanik u told,,,,,,,,but lets wait may be some other member gives us some clue with piks,,,,or adjustment,,,,,
