Dear everyone i have heard that Honda City model 2010 and 2011 have an inherent defect and do not run properly on CNG. Is this true? Can somebody guide me in this issue?
We are loooking forward to buy honda city 2010, but this problem is causing trouble!
Does honda city 2009 also have the same defect?

thanx samad! can anyone else please confirm if honda city 2010 manual-gear has any problem with cng??thanx
all models of honda city have the same defect,,,,it runs perfect only on petrol,,,,,on cng city is farigh even pick of mehran is more than city on cng,,,,,,go for civic 2005 or 2006 in the same price,,,,,,,,,
well i got Honda City 2010 (Manual) and got installed CNG after covering 3000 km and so far its around 12000 km and drive is really smooth and very economical (less than 3 Rs a kilometer). Moreover i suggest to go for 60kg cylinder which fits in rightly and with a full cylinder u can even achieve 250 km on motorway (with speed around 100-110) .... SO GO FOR IT !!!!! :)(H)
any more views???
Go for civic 2005 or 06 mannual transmission it is good on cng & also 1600cc... ORGO for corolla xli 2010 or 09 it is little bit under powered but its performance is good on cng as well as on petrol...
thanx tahir!! Do you think honda city 2010 has any other defect??
Also can somebody tell me whether toyoto corolla models 2009 and after have certain defects which make them hard to re-sell? thanx!
Any more views??
Dude, follow my thread for complete information.
absolutely wrong! there is nothing wrong with cng in new or old city, nothing at all!
Bahi HONDA CITY 2009 2010 may mar kay bhi CNG Mat lagwana .. petrol ka Kata karab hojata hai .. may nay CNG lagwa k dunya ki sub se bari galti ki thi :s .. Petrol pay chalaoo warna Carolla lay loo. Carolla is best for CNG
I have alot of experience in Honda City & CNG.
Trust me its a very bad idea to install it in a city. I have the CNG installed but barely use it.Futhermore certain alteration to air filter is also necessary. In lahore they used to call it an "o-ring".
Futher more you have to keep a ratio of fuel & cng in ur trip. For example if u want to total economy. then out of ur 100km u do .. do keep 10 km for running on fuel.
Or do what i do ... as in karachi the temperatures are too high... so in daylight i prefer using petrol & at night time CNG. Keeps the engine heads cool..
futhermore the fuel tank thingy is also true... most ppl only run their car on CNG... what happenes is that the car's throttle body gets dirtier faster & ur Fuel tank start to accumulate rust.
09-10 is quite a light car... dont see the reason y u going for CNG..use it in petrol
