I dont have pajero. But few days back I was very serious in buying pajero 5 door & obviously with CNG. Here in Peshawar I searched pajero (92-96 model) converted to petrol & with CNG option. Alot of people have installed cng in Pajero
Every seller was satisfied with cng. And they told me its consumption abt 5-7 rupees per kilometer

Pajero without CNG has already CNG like performance. I wonder how will it perform with that big gas cylinder or those snail engines.

Yes, Mitsubishi doesn't make a gas guzzling V8 for the Pajero, but they are definitely not under powered and the top of the line Pajero is just plain fantastic. You know, the Pajeros are not **** Queens, they are far too elegant. Your Toyotas have some nice knockers just like them queens, but that where it ends. You have been blind to how many people have put CNG in there 1.5 crore Cygnus's and the likes of other fat and obese Toyotas :P:)

On a serious note, the only dog engine ever made for the Pajero was the standard 2.4 non-turbo, non-intercooled diesel. Even then, I will say it was more lively than the 2.4 2L dog that Toyota made for the Cruiser.

I would take Saaduk's comment as compliment, Pajeros are more environment friendly. I am curious why mitsubishi only supplied non-turbo/non-intercooled 2.4 in our North region :).

Hybrids and electrics are the future, we know that we can’t burn fuel forever, at-least we can prolong it by driving a Pajero, aur ager burn he kerna hey tu burn it wisely and get yourself a Unimog (H)

There are many, and several ex-LC lovers these days that run Pajeros and swear by them. The truth is that each ride is only as good as their drivers. Ultimately though, I don't get what the fuss is about with these LCs, you'll hardly ever see one doing well in rallies (apart from that one pro who's LC is chopped off and is UAE prepared), whereas you will at any given time see pretty stock Evo engines, at least 7-8 these days in category A, with only mods to make their already excellent suspensions a little better. But God knows, its probably also a safe assumption that if one of these Evo racer boys puts CNG in their excellent and godsend Evo, they still might beat the bulky fat boy TOYotas! :)

Is it feasible to cook by storing & using Solar energy? Can everyone out there afford to that? (Don’t) TAKE (another) LIFE, Pls help in discouraging these CNG conversions, we are happy as long as the fuel is stamped as raw material imported and only locally grown impurities added :D

Nice to see you Rao brother. Well a person with 1.5 crore vehicle running it through CNG is the best definition of a wannabee and upstart. In some societies the people are judged buy what they drive and I know few people who won't have 2 crores in reserve and still they will go for a 1 crore car just for the display. Such people are then confused how to run and maintain it. So CNG is their choice. Personally I think if you are going for a 1 crore plus vehicle , you must be prepared for high fuel consumptions and high maintenance costs otherwise go for Suzuki alto.

I agree with you the 2.4 l Pajero engine is better than the 2.4l cruiser engine. I am not Toyotas ambassador so I'll call right what's right and wrong what's wrong.
