CNG in Toyota Harrier 2004 model

Hello, I have just purchased Toyota Harrier 2004 2400 cc vvti 16 valves 2nd generation engine. The car is giving me poor mileage i.e about 6.5 to 7 km in local which is too low. I am planning to convert my harrier to cng by installing 02 cylinders at the back. Can someone advise me about pros and cons, what problems i might face etc. Help in this regard will be highly appreciated. Ps. How can the mileage on patrol be increased. I have just changed the engine oil and cleaned spark plugs.

i dont think u can achieve much better from a suv
and cng would bring the grace of this suv to minus 10 for sure(u would go to filling station 3 at night,( i used to regularly see a prado fill up at this time, to embarrassed to fill in day light)

keep it as a weekend car, and a buy a 660cc for daily use
or sell and buy a 1.3 civic or corolla i guess

Well brother, Its a wonderful SUV with fantastic driving pleasure. But its hard to afford 6.5 km per liter petrol drive on day to day use like going to office or market. The only solution seems affordable is to convert it to CNG and drive carefree. I dont think tuning or other maintenance will help me increase mileage on petrol....

Well I have seen Toyota Surf/Parados on CNG running fine and the owners are quite happy with the performance of engines.... seems one time investment to me and than peace of mind...

please don't ruin it, get something smaller and cheaper like a 1.3 or 1.6 L sedan and enjoy that on petrol

SUV lay saktay hain app bhai g, but petrol afford karna mushkil hay ? yeh to KHULA tasad hay :). jigar kado sir, tay petrol / diesel tay chalao :). nai tay fir CULTUS lay lavo

btw you are just going to install CNG, then what was the point to post ? as said above you are determined to install CNG

Buy a black color "Hijaab" and some black glasses for putting on when getting this black beauty in CNG line.

Don't know where is that little stupid thing called "Brain", when people opt for a 25~30 lakh car and then want to run it @ Rs. 3 per KM.

yasir it is pity all i can say that bhai jan agar ap kuch samhaj bhoj sai kam laytay recurring aur maintenance expense ko calculate kar laytay tou ap hathi na paltay. ALLAH pak ap ko akal aur samhaj ataa farmai kuch din petrol par chala layn phir iss ko baych dayn izzat issi mai hai warna samny koi kuchbolay na bolay peeth pechay ap ka apnay zalyl karayn gai bohat
