CNG Installation in Honda City VARIO

Install cng if u want to drive the thing you have purshased for travelling to places, or else keep it on petrol and just keep it parked wishing kash main chala sakta agar petrol sasta hota... the prices of petrol are insanely high and it's not an option........... keeping a car on petrol and thinking thousands of time before taking it out is pure bullshit....... and ignore these idiotic suggestions of refraining from cng conversion if u want to drive your car instead of just keeping it in the porch, it's more cost effective to hire a taxi then to use a car on petrol for transportation in isl/pindi.............

well...mines iz city manual 2005 driven 10000 km but it gives hardly 10km/litre wid intermittent ac use in city driving..however on highwayz its much better like 13-14 in summers n upto 15 in winters...per in city driving it haz hardly done abv 12..

yaar get CNG installed from FRiends CNG Services near Baloch pull......best in town...they surely converted many Idsi's on CNG....and next can be yours.......i-dsi was all designed to have better milage but vario sucks that all...manual one gives good milage as compared to vario....
i think there much not be thing like that it won't move on CNG......Auto cars are slow but not much.....you fell a slight difference in pick and acceleration but not much that its like rikshaw.......in KHi...hundred's or thousand's of CIty's are running on CNG......so get in contact with them and then get installed........i think its not a such big issue....install Lambda Sensor with that......increases the effeciency,milage and smooth acceleration.....

Yea go on get it with the Lamda kit.

The City with CVT is indeed slow. But yea ... CNG will make it a bit slower. Big deal ... its already slow.

If you dont wana go fast then you might as well get the CNG. Its ECONOMY you want right ?

But two very very important tips ... you must follow them if you dont want to have MAJOR trouble in the future.

A. Get the LAMBDA sensor ... its worth it.
B. DO NOT get CNG now. Let your engine 'open up' ... ATLEAST let it do 5000km. Engine probably will sustain permanent damage.

haan yaar, my anti cng propaganda wont work with you, i just dont know how you get a good night of of sleep with the CHECK ENGINE light on (6) , woh bhi on a car which you just got :P.. any ways, i hope you enjoy and keep enjoying the perks of CNG. Allah Hafiz

best thing to do... sell the city, get a Liana FF-CNG or better yet a 2.0D

two days back i drove a can vario, and it was good... no check lights, good pickup.....
just go to a good installation place and you will get a good result...

The check engine light works fine with cng .......... goes off when the car starts after checking the engine and cocluding that the engine is FINE with cng.......... i think there should be some instrument to check the driver's heartbeat, so that whenever the car stops for a refuel at a petrol station, it should turn on lol.........

Though I have no experience of automatic cars and CNG, but based on my research on forums and discussion with friends and other people, I think none of the automatic transmission cars give good result on CNG. CNG works fine with manual transmission cars. Quality of CNG plays a big role in this e.g. if you go to the Honda's USA website there they have a CNG model for Civic which is automatic. it has a 9 Kg capacity cylider (I think I read it some where on the site) and covers 200 MILES in one cylinder, which is definitely due to a better quality CNG in US.
someone suggested here to replace the City with Liana RXi, I truly think that this is a very good suggestion, cause a relative of mine bought a City (M/T I think) a few days before Liana was launched. Then he went to see the Liana and was regreting his buy.

So decide wisely what should be your next step, how much will you be investing and when will it pay off. CNG will definitely reduce your monthly expense but keep in mind the initial investment.

First of all: I contacted Honda GUYS. They say you can get a CNG installed in your CITY and it will do nothing besides killing your warranty. BUT you should not install it right now and ONLY install it after 10,000km otherwise you will end up stalling your engine or burning up your transmission. So AkbarGr8: Ahsan1702: Panther: guys you are correct, I have to wait atleast till 5000km.

Secondly: AkbarGr8: Panther: You guys are absolutely correct. Man you guys are GURU. After my first service at 1000km, my car has immediately started giving me 12km/lr with AC. I previously mentioned that my milage is 1500km but I mistakenly reported that: my milage is 1200km currently and it was giving me 9km/lt prior to my car's first service.

Hasantar: I am not sure about liana as yet I have not driven it (
but am always uncomfortable with Suzuki - company/manufacturer does matter to me - personal opionion though - dont want to start another debate
) BUT I do agree that FF CNG cars are better than anyother options. Moreover 2.0D is the best option to go for BUT at the moment it is beyond my price range. Moreover even in future when I will be able to afford 2.0D (InshahAllah) I will be reluctant to buy it coz I want Automatic Transmission Cars and I have been in Toyota SE Saloon Automatic and you feel a slight jolt whenever there is a gear shift. I dont want that. Either Honda comes up with deisel car or Toyota come up with smoother A/T cars. In Honda CVT/Prosmetic you dont feel a slight thing when you accelerate from 0 - 100 km/hr. Nothing, not even slightest, to me that is technology. I know there is a price for this technology either in shape of petrol or something else.

Anyways thanks guys for all your input. Some of you are really experts here. I will wait till 5000km to update you. Probably then I might either change car or will GET USE to emptying my pocket at filling stations

Cousin got a City M/T ... gives around 15KM/L with half time AC.

CVT wont be giving less than 14 I can bet you that. Auto transmissions dont eat THAT much ... esp. CVT which does not change gears all the time since it has none! All you need to do is keep the RPMs low and you will be fine!

Statbat just spare some time and go to friends CNG and ask Hamza (the owner) about fuel injector set up by LandiRenzo it will give you excellent milage and pick also.

learn to drive one
thou slower than others, but with 15km/l, and CVT comfort, its totally acceptable
