CNG Kit Leak

Dear Experts/PW fellows,
i just got a new cng kit installed. when i have tried to fill up the cylinder couple of times at night...

when i fill up at night the pressure is around 210 on the gauge, but when i wake up in the morning it drops to 110 over night... at the day time it stays around 140...

i checked it for leak but couldn't find any... but then i refill it at checked again to find few bubbles coming out from the point shown in the pic....

i filled up 6 KG gas in 40L cylinder left over night and then after traveling 20 km only got a fill-up of 2.4 KG again :S

whats the resolution????

is this due to any safety valve??? if its due to safety value can i set the pressure to 210 Bars so at least it don't waste the CNG i fill at night before parking???

Go back to installer and explain him the problem in detail and lets see what he says or does

Most probably it is the safety valve issue. I had that in my new cultus few months ago and was fixed by ch motors workshop

and go back to the installer and show the spot leaving bubbles when u foam it after refill..kits come with 1 year warranty.besides that good installers ask users to return after 2-3 refills
even a little gas leak leaves alot of smell b.t.w

This is the safety valve of cng reducer and it release any pressure excess than i guess 220 bar. It has small spring loaded piston inside. Usually the piston becomes loose in its small cylinder or the spring looses its tension. Although repair will cost you around Rs.500, but you should claim warranty for a replacement unit.

thanks everyone i got this thing checked at few conversion centers... they say its just just a small bubble probably due to safety valve nothing to worry about... the gauge maitains pressure on 2nd night after a refill... so the pressure drop may be only because of temperature change... my car is doing around 30 KM/KG
