CNG Light Turns Red

Hello guys. I hv problem in my mehran that cng light turns red and is cutt off. So i hv to drive my car on petrol. I hv checked all the connectors of cng kit everything is fine. Pressure gauge is showing 200bar pressure correctly. Wt should i do.

When shifted from petrol to cng while driving it work well. But after parking for two hrs same problem comes back. I.e. red light for cng turns on and cng supply cut off

post the pcture of your Car's CNG kit so it will be easier to point out the fault easier for you to check out.

Hmmm... There is a grip behind the CNG device where the lights show, check if that is faulty.
Sometimes the air filter clamp gets loose, and it chokes the car on CNG.
And check the fuse of the CNG device, sometimes the electric wires Earth and the fuse gets blown.

I have experienced all of the above, when driving from a complete stop on CNG in 2nd gear, i heard a thud sound from the engine- the air filter box opened:)

Those cng lights always show wrong reading when gas is full in car 200 psi then also 4 lights and till 80 psi 4 lights till 50 psi 3 lights and 30 psi 2 lights 15 and below 1 light

The first light is always the strongest one. I have experienced numerous times that the first light turns off after approx. 35-40 Km, and the 2nd one at 60, 3rd at 80 and the last one stays until... 110-120km.* Figures may vary due to different driving style.!

i think your cng solenoid valve's coil is weak or the wiring is loose or the power to the coil is low. Red light comes on merely due to cng cut off. the pressure after the valve drops and the red light comes on. Check the Solenoid vale functioning.

i don't think that CNG is cut off after red light. car can run few km with red light until pressure is too low and engine stops. it is some other problem.like valve problem or problem in pressure regulation inside kit.

I went to mechanic he changed the piston and o-ring in solenoid valve. Still dont get why he changed pistion.

but these lights donot show correct as for my car half tank cng is there and car shows full 4 green lights and one light is on when tank has 5-8% gas. Should refer to pressure gauge near kit.

bro this problem arrises due to cng kit relay.. change the cng kit relay problem will be permanently gone..

Cng ki wire uttar gai hay mechanic ko kho k cng ko properly earth kray and thats it

this valve opens extra gas that is required for starting. what was the cost?
