CNG Loadshedding & Motorway

Hi guys!

This is my very first post, hopping to get valuable replies.

As we all are aware of current gas load shedding schedule and according to my information Govt made regions where CNG will be available in FIRST and LAST three days of week. Check Below:

First 3 days

(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) CNG availability to Faisalabad (Includes Chiniot, Khushab, Mianwali, Jhang, Shorkot), Sargodha, Islamabad (Includes area from Jehlum to Murree and Rawalpindi to Attock and AJK), Bahawalpur (Includes Lodhran, Ahmed Pur East, Khan Pur, Rahim Yar Khan and Sadiq Abad)

Last 3 days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) CNG availability to Lahore (Includes areas up to Harrapa on Multan Road, up to Ferowattan on Shiekhupura Faisalabad Road up to Muridke on G.T Road and Kasur, Pakpattan etc.) Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Multan (Includes Chichawatni, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh, D.G. Khan & Shuja Abad etc.), Gujranwala (Includes Hafizabad Road, Muslim Road, Shiekhupura Road, Qila Chand to Kamoke, Wazirabad, Kharian, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Sialkot, Daska and Pindi Bhattian etc.)

Now if one wants to go out of Punjab then what will be the right plan to go through out on CNG (Lahore to onward). Because this gas load shedding is not in KPK so what would you guys suggest if we go from Lahore to Islamabad, Peshawar, Abbotabad etc.

Leave on Sunday and then return on next Sunday. Simple isn't it?

On serious note, if you have a week long plan then you can consider traveling on Sundays.

You can leave on thursday from lahore, Kharian is the last place where you'd get CNG, get refilled from Kharian and i think you'd be able to reach KPK and after that there is no load-shedding. I'm talking about GT road. Don't have idea about Motorway.

We're leaving on this Friday (29th June 2012) early morning, considering getting tank full from Lahore and then either from Sukheke or Pindi Bhatiyan. Pindi Bhatiyan comes under Gujranwala region so CNG will be available there.

Okay now if we move forward then can I find next CNG station comes under Lahore, Gujranwala etc Region?

Yes You're right about G.T Road but I don't like G.T Road much. Just curious about Balkasar/Chakwal interchange if it comes under Gujranwala region and we can have CNG there on Friday.

Balkasar/Chakwal interchange comes under Islamabad region and NO, you won't find CNG on Friday from these points.

can any body tell us if we go to naran from lahore on saturday and return lahore or wednesday then in which areas we can access the CNG from lahore to Mansha and back to lahore .

On Motorway, you will not find CNG after Kot Momin (use the Interchange and get CNG tank filled from there). After that, you enter Islamabad region and there will be no CNG @ Bhera, Kallar Kahar and Chakri interchanges/service areas. Furthermore, CNG is available in Islamabad region on Wednesday.

Secondly, when you enter KPK (Abbottabad, you can get CNG tank filled again from here, even Mansehra). After Mansehra, there's no CNG anywhere.

No idea about GT Road, maybe somebody else can help. Check the 1st post in this thread for GT road, waisey

i've plan to visit kalam from this Sunday. please tell me the gas position. If I drive on motorway then where is the last point I get CNG. and what is the position in Rawalpindi/Islamabad region. is there CNG available on Sunday or it starts from Monday??? lastly on motorway where from KPK starts?

Well Syed my last and last try is NOT to go via G.T Road, it's road condition, rushed and upon reaching near a city you might need to slower down your car and even "Baba ji" crossing the road don't even bother to see if the traffic is coming from the other side.

Although G.T Road got benefit that you get filled your CNG tanks easily while this facility is not on motorway but still I prefer to go via motorway. What you need to get CNG at least once between Islamabad and Lahore.

And I think I think if you get CNG from Kot Moman then it'd be fine enough to reach Islamabad etc.

Yes, CNG will be available on Saturday @ Kot Moman (off Motorway). While coming from Lahore towards Islamabad, you get off M2 and go about 1km towards right handside (sign board will be there) and there's a CNG station. Get the tank filled and go straight towards the Interchange and you would be on M2, towards ISB again

Hi Ishaq, we're fine. Well according to my information, Sunday is the only day where CNG remains available in all areas. So if you're moving on Sunday then you'll find CNG in all cities.

Load shedding is for First and Last 3 days of week and you see Sunday is exempted.

And so far the starting of KPK is concerned then according to my information Attock is the last city in Punjab and after that KPK starts.
