Dear PW Fellows,
I am having cultus carby 2003. Found an issue when starting the car after a 3 weeks parting. Before parking, it was working fine. The problem is with CNG / Petrol Conversion switch. Even when car is in off state, the gas light on switch was ON but not working (no sound of cng kit starting). I tried to change to petrol but petrol pump doesn't start and no orange light for petrol gets on. After that, changed back to CNG but nothing works and green light of cng is always in ON state even switch is in middle.
I am attaching the pics of CNG switch and cable connector and connector has several cables of different colors . Please any one can notify which are the color codes of the cables for e.g. if I have to start the car on Petrol, how can I make it from the switch i.e. which wires to short or any other method. car is having in tank fuel pump. similarly if I want to start car on CNG then which wires should I connect? I know a method for CNG start i.e. remove the switch and connect battery positive cable to the coil of CNG under the bonnet but how can I connect it from cabin using the CNG Converter Switch Wires?
I have charged the battery before starting the car to make sure that battery is OK and there is no issue due to any low voltage but Switch behavior is same. currently don't know it is a switch or wiring issue.
