Cold air intake - for Corolla

AOA pakwheelers so I am thinking about getting a cold air intake installed in my toyota altis 1.6 2018 and I do not have any idea of what is it what it does so can someone plz explain it to. me and tell me it's pros and con and secondly one of my friends has a reborn that gives a type of tubro sound when it changes gear is that cold air intake?

Well cold air intake is a type of air intake that moves the filter farther from the hot parts of the engine so that the engine can breathe colder and denser air. Denser air= more efficient combustion.
Pros:
Better Combustion
Better throttle response
Slightly better mileage
Cons:
It uses a type of open filter. If it gets dirty then it can cause problems in starting and can reduce engine power.
This filter has a change of absorbing water.
It will offset your air fuel mixture so you will have to get it tuned.

Absolutely no benefit at all.
Where ever you go for install the way they will install will be worse than stock placement.
Stock air inlet of corolla is already far away from the hot engine and near the bottom of the bumper if you look in the engine bay. Desi ustaad will just take a small pipe and engine k sath k pod type filter lga dia calling it so called cold air intake
