Cold engine tick tick sound

Hi,

I have a new mehran and today I noticed Tick tick sound from engine. The engine was cold and sound seems to disappeared as engine get warm.

What could be the reason of this?

on petrol or cng? might just be because of advanced timing

^^^ its on CNG and I guess the timing is not advance. Its not typical knocking sound, its like "tick tick tick" as if something is hammering from inside.

Is it tappet sound?

it seams you recetelly converted from bike to car and its your first car thats why always mess with those thing which in reality not a big issue

hmmm well not really... now the only difference is that earlier I don't maintain the family car, it gets maintain by Driver. Now I got my own car which I need to maintain so that's why I need to know EVERY big or SMALL issue.

If any "small" issue is neglected then I may cause a big issue. (H)

Thanks man for reply. Well I'm also feeling like car is loosing power on climbing hills or in 4th gear there is no power (torque).

Are these due to Loose Tappets? Also will engine sound become more when tappets are adjusted?

@All: Thanks brothers, I have checked the car with Mechanic and he says its not Tappet sound its a Small Metal Ball somewhere near Carburetor which sounds like that and it is very normal and should be present in all new Mehrans.

ur mechanic is absolutely wrong..this sound has nothing to do with the so called little metallic ball dancing somewhere in the carbeureter...
its surely the sign of loose tappets.period!...the sound is present wen the engine is cold and it disappears wen it gets hot..cz the metal expands tightening the tappet itself..!
plus u mentioned that the car seems to loose power wen climbing hills..well this shows ur car's clutch pates hav been worn out..most probably.ur engine has been driven to the end of its life i guess..

If it were tappets my car wouldn't be doing the same.Its something else.Secondly his car needs tappets adjustment ,it has only done 2500km lol .. nothing has worn out yet.She is pretty new for this word :o

Change the oils ,zic A+ with Zicff gl-4 on 2500km's ,on 5000Km do the tappets adjustment..don't worry about the tik tik sound.Take care of these things ..don't bother tik tik.
