Comparision Between a Carby Cultus & Efi Cultus

I have used both carby and EFi Cultus. Both are good in their own way.
Carby ones feel more comfortable climbing hilly roads even on CNG whereas the EFi one, although more responsive, slightly lacks the "punch" needed for slopes.
On straight roads EFi Cultus is a lot faster than its predecessor, but ever since the Chinese tail lights Cultus came, it has quality issues. We had a brand new one in 2011, I once closed the hatch with my hand on the metal body and when I removed it, there was a very prominent dent because of just enough force applied to close the hatch. This issue was never with the older Cultus which had strong body. My personal favorite is Cultus EFi, I love the sound of its engine.

P.S. There is a 2006 Cultus in family circle which was bought brand new and till date has only done 33,000 km, silver color and in almost the same condition it was delivered from showroom. I am seriously eyeing that car but the issue with me is the Carby engine, but it is so fresh it is in its original company tuning.
So should I go for it?

Sir wesay, if you place a rag of cloth on the cap long enough to completeley cover a possible splash, you can manage to open it. But then again, I am jugaaru and hasty one at times. Cant wait for engine to cool down.

No more need a rag of cloth on the cap to open it when hot. If you cant wait engine to cool down before opening radiator cap then you can install this. I installed this last month and now can easily release pressure to bottle whenever I need to. Cheers!

carburetor's are simple but they take time to repair, local workshops don't give it that.

Imagine my mechanic spent 6 hours on cleaning and tuning my previous mehran carburetor

built quality wise pre-2007 Cultus takes the lead, that is, the carby one.
however, EFi one is much more fuel efficient and powerful but lacks a bit in quality when compared to its predecessor.
what's your budget?

kept a carby one for 3 years. If kept right, its one of the best PKDM cars available (if power thingys are not a must for u). In the 3 year tenure, it never asked me to any mechanic what so ever. I just had regular oil changes and all.

Ride is soft. Leg space is commendable for a hatchback. boot space is small.

bought it at 44k on the odo and sold it on 96k without any trouble or issues.

I own a Khyber with a G10 engine, swapped from a limited edition Suzuki "Sedan" (later known as Margalla). I am quite satisfied with the overall performance of the car. But the fuel consumption on this one is just not good enough. I am getting about 10 km/l on average.

I am thinking of swapping it with an efi G10B from a 2010 Cultus. Is this a good idea? Or should I just stick to the one I have? What changes will I need to make e.g. fuel intake, transmission? Anybody who has done it already? Any ideas on the cost?

Get your carborator checked by a good mechanic or i have seen people changed carborators od new mehran alto to khyber and even margalla and they are getting 15 to 18km per litre

G10B will cost you around 100,000 as its not easily available in market
My personel experience is i changed my carby cultus engine to G16B baleno
And i have very happy with performance and its very economical

What mileage are you getting from the G16B? This car is my daily driver so economy is the priority here not the performance. (I have another car for that :D)

Firstly i want to mention that i have 3cultus cars at home 2004model carby, 2008model EFI and 2011 model EFI.

one thing is missing in ur comparsion which is very important .....Fuel Average of Both Engines

my personal experience in local both gives 13 to 14 but in long Carby gives 17 km/ltr and EFI gives 18plus even 20km/ltr (Both Without AC and normal RPM)

EFI Engine has good pick but produces more noise and raised more RPM as compare to Carby at same gear and speed but Carby cultus Engine is smoth and at 100km/h speed Carby has less RPM as compared to EFI

Carby cultus never shakes and no nut bolt tighting needed.

Please note that there is no comparison btwn two engines ,one done 50000km and other done 150000km whether any of them is EFI or Carby

I have carby cultus 2007 and its giving me 18-18.5 on long with 30% AC and 90-110 km speed :).
