AE101 is old, spares are now limited but drives and handles better.
E120 is newer, bad brakes, bad handling but newer, has a more economical engine, parts can easily be sourced etc.
The biggest difference, is that since AE101 is from the 90s, when you sit it in, you go deep into the car, so someone with knee problems has major issues, getting in and out.
In this regard, E120 is better.
Comparing engines, in diesel, E120 is better, smoke free and great mileage.
In Petrol, well the 4afe offered in both performs the same, the 1.3 in E120 is efi and more reliable and easy to use.
