Comparison: Honda Civic 2001-2002 and Honda City 2002-2005 (Fourth Generation)

First, I think that noobs like me would appreciate it if there were dedicated threads for different models containing their reviews. I couldn't find any.

So onto my questions:

1. I am getting the impression from the forum that automatic transmission cars don't work well with CNG, is that correct?
2. City prices are low as compared with their Civic counterparts, why is this?
3. And i would like a recommendation from the car gurus here about Honda Civic 2001-2002 and Honda City 2002-2004 (Fourth Generation), So which is most recommended? Parameters interested in:

            a. Mileage
            b. Maintenance
            c. How do they perform with CNG
            d. Resale value

e. And how do they perform going up on slopes like Nathiagali or Murree

nope. its not correct. cars having auto (CVT) transmission are a little problematic with cng. Automatic transmission works easily with cng. no issues at all.
2. City prices are low as compared with their Civic counterparts, why is this?
City and civic are two different cars, so price differentiation is obvious.
3. And i would like a recommendation from the car gurus here about Honda Civic 2001-2002 and Honda City 2002-2004 (Fourth Generation), So which is most recommended? Parameters interested in:

a. Mileage
Civic has very different drive than city. Civic is low bed while city is not.
CNG Civic will burn one cylinder in 110-120 km with/without ac. City will perform a little better at 120-140km.
I believe civic has a lot better drive than city.
b. Maintenance
Parts are equally expensive. Not much difference. You will need to maintain both of them coz they are old models now.
c. How do they perform with CNG
Perfectly well
d. Resale value
Both have low resale value coz the later models were improved in looks

i like low bed cars. I would love to have city model 200-2003. it is low bed and one of the most strong cars honda has made. comparing between the two that you mentioned, i will go for civic. no match between them. and yes i have owned a civic of that model but not city. although i have used city a lot but i would never buy it.

Also regarding resale, I don't resale often, usually I keep'em for like 5-6 years so will i be stuck with these cars after that?
they are already old models. i cannot predict what the future will bring. i dont keep cars for such a long time. usually change within a year and have never earned a single penny from selling them.

if i had that kinda budget, i would go for;
a lancer 1.6l with sunroof
find a 99-2000 model honda civic
mercedes 97,98,99 c class
