maintain them from 3S dealerships and only buy OEM parts
the costs come around the same figure for both brands

Thanks but just for my information, before going to these brands from Suzuki I need a rough idea as many are scaring off the very high maintenance costs of these beauties. So I need prices for Air Filter, oil filter, belts , rubber pipes, indicator bulbs,Brake oil.

then why people say corolla parts are cheaper?

honda OEM parts from 3s are pretty expensive, same thing from outside shops are still much cheaper

I'm guessing because everything for the Corolla is available locally made or as 3rd 4th copies, as well as the genuine more expensive parts.

for corolla, everyone would say, it is toyota genuine spare. for honda, most of the time u get the real oem part, like lights from depo.

Honda civic air filter costs between 300 to 500 rs (different brands) and its oil filter costs 250 rs.
On the other hand,Corolla and Suzuki (baleno-liana) parts are more or less available in same price.

No difference,Honda parts are not expensive, a clutch plate set for honda civic is available for around 11000 and toyota clutch plate set is also cost around 10000.
suzuki baleno/liana clutch plate set is little cheaper,max 9000.

Great , this is what I wanted to have. Astonishing for me that Baleno and Civic parts are not much different in price. Wonder Why Civics are so reputed to have a very high maintenance cost. So instead of going for a Baleno (2003) Rs 600,000 one can think of a Civic Rs 7,50,000. Am I right?

Yeah, most of baleno parts are more expensive than of civic's.

Don't know about old civics, but currently i have 2006, so i can only give info of civic 2003-06.

We use to have baleno before this civic, pehle main bhi yehi sochta tha ke civic ki maintenance bohat mehngi pare gi,but its not true!

Regardless if you go to any Honda dealership, of which i have no experience as such.

You mean you buy parts mostly from third party manufacturers and not from Honda 3S or Suzuki 3S (for Baleno).And the prices you mentioned are of third party/Non OEM parts.Am I right? If so then it means the Civic performs well on these parts too.You are the most appropriate person to guide me as you have used both the cars that I am considering. Thanks .

Certainly yes,the parts which are available from Honda dealerships as OEM are minimum 5 times more expensive than the rates i mentioned,be it suzuki,toyota,honda.

For example, a normal high quality aftermarket disc brake pads set available for around 2500 (honda) wheres on the other side OEM costs above 9000.both are of same quality.
