Computerized Number Plates for older cars

Asalamo Alaiqum,

I came back to Pakistan 5 months back and today I have been fined for using illegal number plates which I have been installed on my car for past 4 years.

I was told that Punjab government is now issuing computerized number plates for old cars as well. I own an 88 Corolla Lahore registered and using it in Rawalpindi city. Can anyone tell me what do I have to do to get this thing?

simple
visit excise office with car documents and old plates fill up the form for new number plates request pay the taxes & amount due, in Pindi You may also contact Liaquat 0307 5059998 he will help against some fee. very reliable ex-serviceman. Do meet him in person [ this forum does not any have any responsibility ] shared only in good faith with experience of his services.

Any number plate maker will make just like original plates.

A new number is issued and a computerised book as well. At least this is happening in Lahore.

i have 2005 model Cuore & it has that old number plates (not computerized).
do i have to get those computerized number plates or the old ones will be fine ??

Govt of Punjab has cancelled LH series (also advertised in local news papers). All those numbers are being replaced with New Computerized Numbers (LEI series). Files of these vehicles are also returned to the present owners and new computerized book is issued. I passed through all the process for my 1988 model Lahore registered car with LHV series in June 2016. New computerized number plates are still NOT ISSUED/RECEIVED and are awaited, these are supposed to be dispatched to the owner's residence through TCS (as per ETO Lahore Staff).

Yes you'll have to obtain the computerized number plates from excise.
