Computerized tuning by honda 3s .. the correct way?

AOA , i happend to get tunning of my city 2014 Manual from honda 3s near millenium mall karachi ... hey atatched the laptop to the car and took real 30 mins to get tunning ... he waited for the theo fan comes on and the temprature to get higher and so that the auto fan coming on es on and than did some thing with the idle rpm ,,,,

where as when i went to honda 3s rawalpindi ... he did the same tunning but took only 5 mins ... he didnt waited for the temp to get higher ... this time i paid 8000 rs ,...got my fuel inj clean ... tappet adjuted .. converter clean and throtle body clean ...

so what is the right proccedure for tunning ... and how can i catch if they (honda ) gus do any dandi in tunning ...

the correct method is exactly what you have mentioned above . but 8000 is way to much .

Cars equipped with ECUs don't need any tuning. All you need to do is to follow the manual and carry out routine maintenance like oil, oil filter replacement, air filter inspection. Spark plugs don't need any cleaning if the car is not burning oil or running rich.
Scanning device is used to check that everything is within parameters as per service manual. If not the prescribed action may be taken, like if idle RPM is not stable then maybe IAC valve needs cleaning or if radiator fan does not switch on at certain coolant temperature then ECT sensor needs attention.

Bhai there's nothing like TUNING an efi car. Our mechanics usually rip off customers in the name of TUNING. TUNING is more of a carby car associated thing. In modern efi cars all you need to do is change engine oil, engine oil filter, brake oil, gear oil n coolant at regular intervals. Check spark plug gap for proper setting n u r good to go. N these 3s guys r even more fraudulent than roadside mechanics. As such formally trained to koi hy nai, it's just a roadside mechanic in a 3s uniform. Moreover most of these 3s shops r sublet to third parties so they aren't company maintained either. 8000 for tuning is an extreme rip off
