Bhai log I have finally made up my mind and going for a B.N Swift DLX Inshallah...2010 City is an excellent choice and I would prefer it anyday over the Swift but it is a bit too risky spending over a mil for a used car..there are risks in how the car is kept, the documentation etc etc....so better to stay with a new car...mehanga roye ek baar sasta roye bar bar

It all depends on your risk appetite & how much you can afford...one of my relative bought a Used Land Cruiser for 13 million (1 crore 30 lakh) aur aap kahtay hain its too risky to spend over a mil. for a used car !!

yes its all depends upon risk taking! you are well awared about karachi k halat & traffic as well, investing 13 million on roads! wo bhi used car! it sounds like "AHUM" after all its all upto you that whats ur criteria! its upto bank balance as well..

Better in drive than all above options
Best resale for years n years
Cheap maintenance
Bigger and much more comfortable car than passo vitz swift
Economical
Best for our roads
Rough n tough n reliable
Good road clearance
Nice interior
U ll have to spend 10k to 12k max for power windows thts it
Acc to my experience it is much better car than vitz passo n swift. . And except for pick acceleration and driving pleasure it is much better than current honda city as well overall

Yes nothing can beat the charm of a brandnew car, if thts the selecting criteria than suzuki swift is the car for u trouble free for 5years araam se

bhai jaan mairay sath masla yeh hai kai even if i stretch my budget i don't want to exceed 1.2 mark .... in that range i can only barely get Swift DX which i am reluctant to get

i might wait out few days and for some extra funds to opt for DLX (my choice of color either White or Navy Blue) i have been to market several times and its such a head ache .... woh ju shaak ki talwaar sur par latki rehti hai na Although if by some miracle i am able to find a very clean Passo/Vitz low mileage than i might go for it ...

I found a very good fresh import (4th or 5th April 2013) Vitz 2009, 3.5 grade, Black color full options (push start etc) 10k driven (verified) but the guy is not moving from 1240 for it ... i told him 1150 mai dai du if he had agreed than i would had gotten that car, Another car i saw was again a grade 3.5 Black Passo XF (folding seats, top of the line model) 2009 model, imported 2012 (have two penalties for registration which can be negotiated on the price) 37k driven for 1070. Buti the problem is if you are hitting the 1.1 mark than one should opt for Vitz it offers better resale, Passo is a great buy for 1 mil and under

Sir a few points to ponder here which might answer this irrelevant reply....

1- Only a fraction of population in Pak can afford a 13mill car.
2- Even out of that fraction, almost 0.05% of people will treat a 13mill land cruiser as a cheap grocery/daily errand car...

So it is very obvious that for 13mill, the risk is already reduced to a bare minimum. City is an everyday car which can be found as a chauffeur-abused car, driven on rentals, a company pool car and other factors u may think of so the risk factor is too high.

100% Agreed... I think decision-making has so many factors incorporated eg. your mentality, your social setup, depth of your pocket etc.

I mean how can it be irrelevant when there are people on this blog who can afford such luxury...but came down to this post to advise their brothers

Thats why I suggested only for 3 years...KIBOR rates definitely will go up but they don't shoot fortnightly!
Someone with a broad vision on economy (State Bank guys) have not in the past & not allowed in the policy so cannot go up more than 0.50% at once and the rates are revised half-yearly

so 3 yr = 6 half yrs = 6 x 0.50% = 3%
which will raise KIBOR to 12% max. even then one is in advantage.

PS: If I had to lease out I would've gone for the same.

Policy rate can go up by a couple hundred BIPS at once. It has happened in the past and it can happen in the future. Look up DR history at SBP website (Economy section)

SBP since the last two years have been announcing MPS every two months.

baqai bhai you are right searching for a car in market is really very tough job, it is just like searching a pearl in the ocean.. and there are too many cheaters out there and its ,hard to tackle them, atleast i dont have such tricks to make them tackled..

vitz 2009 & 10k, 4 years old car in japan only 10k driven its not acceptable, if so then y the grade is 3.5.. it may be 110k driven. if car is driven 110k it would be written on auction sheet like this *10000 kms. so check it again..

for passo 37k is acceptable, but cleared in 2012 would charge alot of plenty on registration, so dont go for it ( in my opinion ) lets see what other say,about it..

bro swift dlx is better, so wait for your pocket get heavy!

I got the auction sheet checked and verified from different sources, there were a lot of A1 on the car along with a U2 on the roof thus the 3.5 grading ... few auction houses such as TAA are very bitchy about their ratings
