Confused between Corolla and Cultus

mein ny apni 1st car purchase kerni hy. Mera budget 8 lakhs hy. And i am really confused between cultus 2012 euro 2 and toyota corolla Gli 2008 model. As one of my friend told me that i can get neat an clean toyota corolla Gli 2008 model in the range of 8 lakhs. i don;t want to accede my budget. because of many reasons one of the main is that because it is my first car. I am new to cars as well as to this forum, so please don't criticize. If i am wrong about any thing. So which one is best option in 8 lakhs. Their are many experts out here so looking for some valuable suggestions and advice. Thanks !

WS. Firstly, welcome to PW.
Secondly, I believe you can get a clean '05 - '06 GLi in this price bracket, and if you're lucky, you might get a latter model. But let's assume you get a '05 GLi in great condition, it will still be a better car than a '12 Cultus, for the following reasons:
1- Its a Toyota Vs. Suzuki
2- Sedan Vs. Hatch
3- Even older model Corollas are reliable as long as you find a good unit, so fewer hassles with mechanics
4- Its resale value will be almost constant within next 3-4 years
5- Drive comfort cannot be matched between Cultus and Corolla.
