An old Accord for first car totally not recommended.
As it's your first vehicle better buy some good reliable new car. Which will not require much maintenance and also easy on pocket.
But if you have decided to buy it no one can change your mind. Rest it's your money your choice.
The real problem is the availability of good clean maintained cars. Almost 90% of accords are messed up. Owners will lie about even small problems.
Plus it you get one than it is more difficult to find a decent experienced mechanic they all just work on tukka system changing parts one by one to solve any problems.
Overall it's very bad situation for a person who himself have very less or no understanding of vehicles.
So decided carefully.
Either you will end up with a good vehicle or one which will be problematic after spending much more money.
